Biography
Gerardo Andrés Merlo Roa was born in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. An actor, director, and cultural manager, he trained in Buenos Aires at EMAD and Andamio 90. In 2019, he returned to Ushuaia and founded the Fueguino Artistic Collective CHINGOLO, from where he promotes theatrical plays, short films, and festivals such as Malvinas on Stage and Black Night Red Snow. His work has been recognized with awards such as Best Screenplay at Cine en Grande (2024) and Memoria Viva (INCAA, 2023) for Operación Democracia. He currently combines theater teaching with artistic production.
