Biography
I am Carina Gavalda, an audiovisual producer. Part of my training was at the National University of Tierra del Fuego (Audiovisual Media) and the National University of Tres de Febrero (Audiovisual Production). Since 2016, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of local and international projects, including music videos, commercials, short films, feature films, and documentaries. In 2021, I produced and directed my first short film, "Tinta Seca" (Dry Ink), which is soon to be released. In 2023, I was the executive producer of the first Historias Breves (Short Stories) filmed in the city of Ushuaia. I have been part of notable projects such as: Misterios Submarinos (Underwater Mysteries), Las Intemperies (The Outdoings), El Gerente (The Manager), La Residencia del Fin del Mundo (The End of the World Residence), Los Colonos (The Settlers), among many others, where I have collaborated in various areas. Currently, I work in the "Audiovisual Development" area of the Government of the province of Tierra del Fuego, where I continue to promote the creation and growth of local projects. My passion for cinema and my commitment to strengthening the audiovisual industry in my province are what motivate me to continue working towards a more diverse cultural landscape with more opportunities for the stories that originate here.
