Escondido Lake is one of the natural beauties that can be seen along National Route No. 3, which at this point becomes a mountain pass. It is a landscape of cliffs and steep forests. The lake can be accessed by private vehicle or by booking a tour with local agencies or operators. Before entering the Garibaldi Pass, there is a viewpoint offering a panoramic view. On the other side of the pass, there is an old sawmill nearby.
