Punta Popper is a small area that is part of an Urban Nature Reserve and is located in front of the city of Río Grande, separated by the mouth of the Río Grande. This area is within the Atlantic Coast Reserve. Punta Popper is the tip of a triangular peninsula 2 km long and just over 7 metres above sea level. You can walk around the area, birdwatch, and engage in educational and scientific activities. The tide usually rises quickly. The presence of strong winds can cause difficulties during the visit.
